Great feeder

I love the hummingbird feeder. The problem is with quality control in shipping. I purchased 3 feeders and 1 feeder had a cracked flower and more important had 1 flower missing. Hard to understand how in packing a box this could be missed. As far as the feeder itself, I would not buy any other style.

Nice size hummingbird feeder.

The feeder holds 30 oz. Others I've owned were only 16 ounces, necessitating constant refills. With winter coming to the Northwest, this makes for easier care. You just twist it apart, making cleaning and refilling a snap. Comes with a package of nectar. Only downfall is the enclosed wire intended for hanging. It is weak and I had to replace it with a more secure wire.

Hummingbirds love this feeder

I have had this exact feeder for many years. The weather has taken its toll on the ones I have, fading and just weather abuse. The birds love perching and eating. I does need to be rinsed out when refilling. I soak it in powered dish washer soap for awhile before refilling. You just have to rinse it well. You and the birds will love this feeder. Much enjoyment bird watching.

I would like red floweretes instead of yellow (yellow attracts yellow jackets), but painting them with red fingernail polish a couple of times a year works well. We've used this same type feeder for almost 23 years.

Long-lasting, reasonably priced

We've owned one for at least 15 years and are still using it constantly. The new one is a backup for when the plastic base of the old one gives out. Its base is riddled with hairline cracks. Four of the yellow 'flowers' have been removed so Orioles, Western Tanagers, Black Crowned Grosbeaks, etc. can get to the sugar water. We mix 1 cup sugar with 2 cups water and boil it. Natural nectar is the same parts water to sugar.

I've been feeding these little wonders for a number of years, needless to say I've gone thru some feeders until I got smart and got these. I had a pair of ther before the ones I have now, they were going on five years and still just as good. I left them when I sold my house. I have two up now and plan on more, but only these. The birds love the purch and will sit and drink their fill. Again, these are the best

Perfect hummingbird feeder

I have always enjoyed watching these little hummingbirds the way they interact. They are constantly dive bombing each other to keep the feeder all for themselves. This glass feeder is about perfect. 30 oz. of sugar water is about all you want to lift up hand on your hook, and with 6 feeding ports it encourages them to share a little. The hummingbirds seem to love it, the picture I've posted is 1 hour after putting it up we had a visitor. By the time ithe light was fading, we had 3 hummingbirds visiting quite regularly, and this is February. It was shipped very quickly and I couldn't be happier. I'm going to order another one for the other end of the back yard.

Good feeder, but too difficult to clean properly

I've owned half a dozen of these feeders, but I've thrown them out as they are too difficult to properly clean. Instead, I'm using the much easier to clean Perky Pet "Grand Master". And with several hundred hungry hummers, cleaning these feeders became a dreaded chore as properly cleaning them takes at least 5 minutes (and with 8-10 feeders, it was taking nearly an hour a day even when I was expert at cleaning them). I can't stress enough the importance of cleaning your feeders - dirty feeders breed mold that spoils the nectar and hummers will refuse to visit moldy feeders (nectar needs to be clear - the slightest haze means the nectar is spoiled and must be replaced). And a clean feeder means happy hummers and they'll stay around as long as there is food. A rule of thumb is just provide enough nectar that your hummers can consume in 2-3 days. Any longer and the nectar will almost certainly spoil. And make sure you use ant guards (water guards are best imo, but there are other types available)

Not as advertised

The picture is of the better old model that didn't leak. They'll ship out the newer upgraded model that most will say " has issues". Leaks at base and bee guards are drilled too small.
